The Fail safe Print to Add To Any Outfit

My last thoughts before I go to sleep are most likely to be: what shall I wear tomorrow, I know, #FirstWorldProblems.

I do have more profound thoughts other than my daily outfit decisions but with the intention of saving time and brain energy in the morning, a before-bed-

-scroll is a must to create a bit of outfit inspo. 

But for those days when you just get an outfit block, you know, a writer's block but of the putting-together-an-outfit kind I just go back to those good old staples. In my non-minimalist case, those staples don't tend to be a crisp white shirt or tailored trews, nope I go back to old faithfuls such as stripes, leopard print, mom jeans or my oldest and most scruffiest black tee. Chuck on a choker (natch) and my signature gold hoops and hey presto, jobs a gooden. 

So a recent addition to the staples part of my wardrobe was this 

River Island camo jacket

. The military trend is big for AW16 and camo print has had an update ready to embrace the new season. Essentially, a military jacket is nothing new, this uniform get-up has been inspiring fashion for decades so I highly doubt this is the last season we see it make an appearance. Hence the justification of my new 'staple' purchase.

In this outfit, I styled it with stripes; a double whammy of staple co-ordinating which led to me being ready and out the house in less than 30 mins, proving that outfit planning and staple purchasing can absolutely save you time. I even had time to shoot this look, which in the end led me to miss my train and made me late for the event I was actually trying to be early for. Hey ho, sometimes you just can't rush fashion, or, a blog shoot...
