The Joyful Chapter

The statement top to buy now

Nailing transitional dressing is a must for now, it feels like my daily outfits need to be appropriate for ALL weathers, and quite frankly, it's doing my head in. We get a taste of some sun and then boom, the next day, it's a complete wash-out - welcome to the UK.

So right now, for me, it's all about investing in tops, making sure they're colourful, with a quirky edge, and easily paired with anything on the bottom half. Take this top from

Shein

, this week I wore it with high waisted jeans and a leather jacket, and then today - can you believe it - there was a break in the clouds, so I styled it with my favourite Topshop denim skirt (which to be honest, for someone approaching 31, is probably a tad short, but, YOLO).

The high street is awash with some of the best tops I have seen in AGES. From off-the-shoulder, fancy frills and flared sleeves, there's a shape for everyone this spring. Whether gingham is your bag or Gucci-inspired prints are your lust-have, whatever you're after, it's out there and perfect for desk-to-dinner situations.

I love a versatile top that is great for a busy day in the office, yet fits if I choose to grab a drink after work. Who am I kidding, it's always straight home to my PJs, but should those occasions arise, I have a fab armoury of awesome tops for spring, all perfect to take me into summer, and this pastel blue bad boy if currently top of the list...
