Summer style: what to wear in a typical British summertime

After living in Sydney and being away travelling, 2019 sees my first summer back in the UK and as always, it’s a confusing time. Updating my summer style is something I  look forward to but thanks to the famous British summertime, I need to think of every weather eventuality.

A combination that always feels right is the chunky boot and dress combo. A T-shirt dress is comfortable enough to battle the London commute, my legs are out so if we experience a drastic increase in heat I won’t boil and chunky boots not only look cool, but can withstand rain if it decides to turn up (which is most likely will!).

I added a Baker Boy hat for good measure (and because it's leopard print - what a touch!), sunnies are an obvs and a bum bag is quite possibly the most practical bag of the at moment.

Boom summer style done. Until we get struck by another day of 37 degrees, if that happens then I suggest get to your nearest lido and strip off. Oh, and don't take the tube!
