A new black quilted jacket and a lifestyle transition
For someone that has a huge collection of outerwear I am pretty confused as to why this year I feel like I have NO jackets!
A lot of my jackets and coats are vintage or air more on the side of dog walking attire. I have really been missing a lightweight throw-on that’s not as long as a trench and not as thick as my other puffer style jackets, especially as this autumn has been more balmy than expected.
That’s why I had to get this Black Quilted Jacket from H&M - it’s SO versatile and surprisingly, I really adore the collarless style. I am wearing a small and it’s pretty roomy so I’m looking forward to throwing it on over a chunky roll neck as the winter approaches.
Experiencing autumn this year has been unbelievable. I think it’s because I feel so contently transitioned into countryside living that I’ve witnessed the change in seasons on such a different level than ever before. Being more rural, with a garden full of large trees and always out with the dog has made me appreciate the marvel of nature so so much. Or maybe I am just getting old!
Oxfordshire really is a very beautiful place to call home, and after vowing I’d never leave London, it still totally blows my mind that I’m so in love with this slice of the English countryside.
It didn’t take us long to get into the swing of all things English countryside, at first came the Hunter Wellies, then came my first Barbour Jacket, and then another - more traditional - The Barbour Wax Jacket and well, before you know it we’re the proud owners of a Land rover Defender!
So there you have it, a little insight into my life and style transition and a very good new jacket!
This Black Quilted Jacket from H&M is currently sold out but here are a few others that caught my eye…
See you next time! x
