3 black coat styles that are dominating my wardrobe right now
Probably my most searched term: black coat
Honestly, I have SO many black coats but I always need want more. I’ll be outfit planning and often find myself yearning for a coat style that I miraculously don’t have. It’s annoying! Anyway, excuse the derelict backdrop in the pics below, this will be my lounge but right now, it’s currently a building site that overwhelms us on the daily.
The 3 black coat styles below are the ones I have found myself leaning towards more so of late…
The longline black coat was a sale find from Principles via Debenhams (it was £45 so is selling very fast!) is such a classic and instantly elevates my outfits - I think that’s down to the length and slight oversize feel. I just love it and find myself throwing this one on the most, even though it’s not the warmest.
My vintage faux fur is quite the curveball and since pulling it out from the back of the coat cupboard I have almost fallen back in love with it. I’m it’s biggest fan when worn with an ultra casual outfit. It can be a bit bulky but I am prepared to live with that and mainly style it with leggings, a hoody and chunky boots.
Ahh the classic black quilted coat, this one has quite frankly been a cost per wear winner. Bought for less than £30 from H&M I have honestly worn it with everything and for every occasion. The collarless neckline works so well with pretty much any jumper, thankfully, as it’s not a black coat I turn to for warmth. I need to layer, layer, layer with this one.
These 3 black coats aren’t available anymore but I have shared a few more similar that I would also buy. Spring might be on its way but a black coat (or 10) will always be a staple in my wardrobe!
