The Joyful Chapter

Double denim will always be my favourite denim look whether it’s in or not.

Over the years a double denim outfit has pretty much become a wardrobe staple for me. I think with my love of thrifting and 90s fashion, it’s not a surprise that a good old bit of double denim will get my fashion juices flowing.

It’s also minimum effort, maximum output; I just can’t help but think double denim looks cool for not a lot of thought.

My latest denim purchase comes in the form of this Patchwork Denim Oversized Button Down Shirt from Nasty Gal. It was a complete steal and even more of a bargain as I download their app to get further discounts off my order.

If certainly feels more shacket than shirt; I went for a size 12 as love an oversized look, and with easy popper fastenings plus large pockets, it’s as practical as it is cool. I also just want to reiterate the bargain side of it too, it was £40 down to £12!? (I know!)

I took these shots on a balmy September evening which was perfect weather for this transitional layer. I paired it with some old H&M jeans, a leopard print cami top and my studded suede sandals from Schuh - for me, this patchwork beauty just pulled the whole outfit together.

Here’s hoping we get a few more golden evenings before the colder temps really do drop for winter!

Hands up who loves double denim as much as I do?
