Favourite thrifted buys: The vintage co-ord

I LOVE vintage clothing and man am I happy to see the return of the charity shops.

With the ease of lockdown in full swing here in London, a strange type of normality is upon us. I had gotten quite used to the make-up free, lockdown life with Matt, strange how you adapt isn’t it.

So here we are, wearing masks and trying to navigate the new normal.

What I am rather chuffed about is welcoming back my wardrobe! I had been stuck in a very lazy PJ rut to put it simply.

Yay to being able to outfit plan again.

Every night before I go to bed I always think about my following day and the attire I need for it. And now, as we’re actually going out of the house for things other than food shopping, it’s exciting to be able to conjure up outfit ideas as I drift off to sleep. Please tell me other people do this too…?

I purchased this floaty co-ord from a charity shop in Salisbury ages ago. I love it; the colours, the length of the skirt, the pockets, the quality (it’s vintage Gerry Webber) - everything about it is right up my street.

It was around £7 for the set and in a size 14. It fits big so I have worn the skirt high on my waist and tightened the waistband. I then tied the shirt at the waist too so it suits my shape better.

God love a charity shop, you just never know what you’ll find.
