NOTES FROM... Best maternity buys I am loving so far

Yes, you read right: Best maternity buys I am loving so far

I am currently 25 weeks pregnant and I should probably start by saying that I am feeling very blessed and grateful to be a) expecting a baby, and b) to be enjoying a really nice pregnancy.

It took us around 18 months to fall pregnant and just as we sort of dropped focus on the baby stuff and full throttle focused on buying a house, we found out I expecting the week after we had exchanged on our new home. Annoyingly it’s true what they say, when you stop thinking about it and just live your life, it can happen. Although not true for everyone so again just re-iterating the gratefulness I feel today in getting to experience all of this baby shizz. It’s been a really lovely journey so far.

For some time the overwhelm of actually being pregnant really halted me in buying anything, from maternity stuff to seeking out the best maternity brands, I couldn’t quite believe I was getting to make those baby related purchases. In the earlier months I would wander round the baby section in Next but hurry out quickly as if I shouldn’t be in there. Now my bump is very much obvious and with all the usual scans and midwife appointments under my belt, I am allowing myself to enjoy the second trimester and excitedly peruse the baby section should I so wish.

Buying baby clothes has been so enjoyable, and slowly but surely I am creating a rather nice stash of teeny tiny garments ready to be washed and prepped for my April arrival. I mean there are certainly more important things I need to be purchasing but as we are currently living in a bit of a renovation (you can see more over on my Instagram HERE) we need to finish our lounge in order to empty the room that will be the nursery of all the stuff being stored in there. But that kind of content is for another post..

So in terms of the best maternity buys I have been adding to my basket over the past few months they’re all quite self indulgent ones!

From wide leg maternity trousers (I love these comfy black trousers from H&M) to thick creams perfect for a growing baby belly, here are a few maternity buys I have been loving…

Lots more maternity style and house renovation content to come but for now, have a lovely evening and see you in my next post.
