A Winter Wedding

This weekend was spent celebrating as 2 of my lovely friends got married, the wedding was on Friday and it was a perfect, crisp, fresh (incredibly cold) winters day.

My previous wedding guest/bridesmaid experience has always been from Summer weddings so it made a welcome change to attend a wedding this end of the year!

Obviously the outfit has been the bain of mine and my friends lives in the weeks leading up to the wedding, naturally for us fashion obsessed creatures all the talk focused on was

what is everyone wearing!  I, like many others left my outfit to the last minute, thankfully a dash visit to Urban Outfitters was a winning visit as I happily stumbled across a lovely navy blue dress.

I am currently Navy’s biggest fan, it’s dark like black but no where near as harsh –it’s definitely a more flattering shade for my blonde hair, blue eyes and pale complexion so I was over the moon to see this classic, silky number hidden at the back of a rail with a tempting £15 off sticker.

 I

styled the dress with an old vintage jacket, a faux fur stole from Dorothy Perkins and my chunky shoe boots - I was good to go, strangely with enough time to spare to snap these outfit shots.

The wedding was breathtaking, we all had such a good time so much so I was in bed out cold at 12 o clock that night waking up at 3am suffering the beginnings of a hangover.  Needless to say the Saturday wasn't much fun for me, the journey home was painful as hangovers and travel just do not go do they.

Dress - Urban Outfitters / Stole - Dorethy Perkins / Jacket - Vintage via charity shop / Shoes - River island

What would be your perfect winter wedding outfit?
