Yes, it's a dressing gown. Can I get away with it?

nightwear trend spring 2016

We all know that this season pyjamas aren't just for the bedroom as o

ur classic nightwear has had a major re-vamp leaving you able to wear them outside the house and it be socially acceptable

. I'm not talking about a cartoon-covered, fleece set from Primark, more along the lines of a beautiful silk PJ shirt styled out with a neck scarf and a fitted pair of cropped jeans. Get the idea?

Always one to trial a trend and usually at a fraction of the cost I remembered a certain garment laying dormant in my wardrobe and thought, what if...

Enter my 75p men's dressing gown. I clearly had a vision that Spring 2016 would see fashionistas swapping their daywear for nightwear because I bought this vintage beauty about 5 years ago at my local chazza shop.

I choose last Saturday as the day to don my dressing gown slash kimono and although I quite liked the outcome, I am certain a few passers-by had their reservations. Oh the life of a blogger, eh!

Dressing Gown/Kimono - Vintage via a charity shop / Boots - Zara / Top - H&M / Jeans - Topshop

A few things to say/ask to round off this post...

A) Sorry if I look creepy AF in these shots, come to bed eyes? Hmmm, I hope not.

B) Does this look like a 75p dressing gown? Be honest, if so I promise to never leave the house in it again.

C) What is your take on the whole pyjama party trend? There's a high chance you'll rock it better than me.

D) Hugh Hefner? Come on, you were so thinking it too...
