Brunchin' at Farley Macallan
If there are two things I know, it's brunch and prosecco (and rhyming, clearly). I am no foodie, but I absolutely bloody love brunch. Chuck a bottle (or two) into the mix and you've got yourself a winning combination of, what-makes-Abbie-Tanner-happy. So when
Farley Macallan
invited me down to sample their
'Mindless Brunch',
I was all over it.
As a Hackney local, the location was perfect, situated next to luxury outlet
(a post to come on this soon), the delicious brunch destination is a mere 15-minute walk from my home, basically, stumbling distance.
I enjoyed a classic, eggs benedict, which came with cooked-to-perfection crispy bacon and THE most divine tasting hollandaise sauce EVER. I was in my happy place. My best pal Kayleigh came along for the brunch ride and devoured the smashed avocado and mint on toast, to which she proclaimed, 'this is the best avocado ever', a bold statement which I could tell, she truly meant!
So, if you ever find yourself in the East London area, then be sure to hunt down this little Hackney gem. It's a short walk from Homerton or Hackney Central overground and a lovely way to enjoy a lazy Saturday with friends.
Founder, Luke Ramsden wants to
'reinvent the local,
' with his mission being to bring high-quality food and drink with affordable prices to Hackney. With lunch prices starting from £6, and the food offering a serious taste sensation, it seems as if he is certainly achieving it!
Post in collaboration with Farley Macallan.
Views and 'most divine tasting hollandaise sauce ever' comment, all my own.
Thanks to Luke and Farley Macallan for a fabulous Saturday.
