Tasty treats at Brixton's newest bar and restaurant
Say hello to
, the latest dinner and drinks haunt to add to the Brixton buzz. Its sister-location is
Martello Hall,
which if you stop by this blog on the reg, you'll know I am a big fan of. Naturally, I had venture South of the river and check it out. I took my pal Leigh along for the tasty ride: delicious food, morish martinis and life chats - what's not to love?
The venue used to be the
worker’s hall of Britain’s first department store Le Bon Marché across the road and is HUGE. Not only is it a large space, but its post-industrial decor
by impeccable design company,
,
is super stylish. From its tucked away eating booths to its well-stocked bar (they have a gin distillery on site dontcha know), this place is one hell of a fashionable dining and drinking experience. The menu is simple yet slick; everything is fresh, made from scratch and utterly delicious, if you go (which you should) you MUST get the
aubergines.
We left full, our diaries even fuller and a new favourite London boozing place to add to the list. Thank god for the 24-hour Victoria Line... I'll be coming again, armed with a gaggle of girls on the hunt for one of those delicious gin cocktails. Brixton, look out.
Thank you to Canova Hall for a lovely evening. It made for a very fabulous Tuesday. Same time next week?
