Beginning the adventure with Holiday Inn

So I've been Sydney living for two weeks now and its been a dream. As with any move to a new city it brings its stresses of flat hunting and most importantly job hunting, but it's OK, the hot weather has eased all the adulting. Sunbathing and beach exploring inbetween flat viewings and being hauled up in a cafe job hunting is quite the treat!

Before we set off on our Australia adventure we were lucky enough to stay at the

Holiday Inn,

a few minutes drive from Heathrow, this was just the start we needed and it meant we could arrive to the airport stress-free and feeling rejuvenated. We were flying out on Christmas Day and an overnight stay on Christmas Eve made it just that bit more special. After a healthy salmon dinner in their restaurant, (not very festive, I know, but hey we were on the bikini OOTD countdown!) we enjoyed a chilled movie night discussing all our upcoming plans - we were full of excitement and nerves but oh-so-happy.

Our gorgeous friend Husnara was due to fly out to Bali on Christmas Day too, so we had an emotional farewell with her in their bar - along with my parents and sister, we felt all farewelled out by the time we dragged our cases to the airport but also, full of love and well wishes. I can't recommend booking a hotel stay the night before your flight enough, it really added to the fun of it all and eased all those dreaded taxi stresses.

 Holiday Inn

offered a shuttle service which was all organised by their lovely reception team - again, another stress taken off our to-do list!

A massive thank you to Holiday Inn for the complimentary stay - you made our big trip to Oz that bit more special. BTW we miss your pillows - jeez they were comfy!
