Houndstooth Cardigan

I bought this Houndstooth Zara Cardigan just when I thought the summer was coming to an end, but then bam, we were hit with an Indian summer and it was bloody glorious.

As much as I love the sun and feeling the heat on my skin, autumn is my favourite time of year in terms of fashion and outfits. The main reason is that I LOVE coats and chunky knitwear - tbh, who doesn’t.

So back when I thought we were waving goodbye to summer I picked up this Houndstooth Cardigan from Zara. Usually I’m drawn to knits that cover my bum but the clashing pink and red just stood out to me, and the fact that the cardigan is cropped really didn’t bother me! It’s so SO soft and I love that it’s an open knit therefore no buttons to add distractions.

It’s bold, beautiful and incredibly warm so I can see me layering this up through all of A/W - it pops so perfectly paired with denim too. Change the bag for a crossbody, sandals for boots and add a trench, this outfit can be easily repurposed for colder temps and I’m here for that.

There is only a medium left in stock but it’s worth noting I sized up, so if you’d usually take a small then a medium will work too. Zara have so many cool cardi's on offer - I feel another couple being added to my wardrobe some time soon!
