Summer outfit ideas: stripe shirts

Stripe shirts currently have me in a chokehold and I am here for it.

The preppy style of this blue stripe shirt just jumped out at me, and for £3 from a charity shop, it was a card tapping yes. You can see a few of my second hand shopping tips in a recent blog post.

There’s something about stripes, they work for SO many occasions but this outfit showcases my usual casual weekend style. My vintage trench coat has been doing the rounds since the warmer weather, I love how the longer cuffs of the stripe shirt can be looped up and around the sleeves.

It’s probably time to put the chunky boots away now as summer officially arrives this month, does that mean that I’ll need a little new season shoe update? Absolutely.

I’m looking forward to styling this blue stripe shirt with slip skirts and linen shorts for the summer, it would even look cool thrown on over a swimsuit, although I’ll need to book a holiday for that vibe!
