The blazer I've been hunting for
Checked blazers have reigned supreme for a while now and I finally got my hands on the perfect one.
Now, you all know by now just how much I love a thrift session. Usually blazers are always easy to find in charity shops, however, when you’re on the hunt for something so specific, searching it out in thrift stores can be a troublesome task.
I waited. I patiently rummaged through many a vintage rail and scouted out an abundance of charity shops (in and outside London) but alas, I was struggling to find the blazer I was looking for. I didn’t rule out men’s either, but that can be a tricky one; although the checks and quality may be better, the fit can somewhat be a tad too oversized.
And then the wait was over. I had taken myself out for a mooch in my new neighbourhood (we have moved, but more on that another time…), naturally I gravitated towards my new collection of charity shops and low and behold there it was. The perfect blazer. The exact check I was after and a fit even better than I could of imagined. It cost me £9 and I haven’t taken it off since - if only you could hear the joy in these words, I am sure you can imagine I was over the moon though.
That’s the thing with charity shops, they might not come up trumps straight away but when they do, boy is it a good feeling. Vintage M&S is always a winner, what do you think of my new thrifted blazer?
