Eating outdoors beneath a hazy warm sunset is always a glorious way to end the day and to accompany a blissful summer’s evening, you of course need to have some yummy food!
But slaving away in the kitchen isn’t quite the idea, maximising the long summer evening is. Enter an easy salad recipe that can be whipped up in minutes leaving you more time to sit outside in the garden listening to the joyful sounds of nature.
How to make the perfect summer salad…
Slice mozzarella and tomatoes and layer them next to eat other on a plate
Chop black olives and finely slice fresh basil then scatter them over the tomato and mozzarella
Pour olive oil over the dish and then a dash of balsamic glaze
Finish off with a sprinkling of pine nuts
Head on out into the garden, light a deliciously smelling candle (my favourite is this Daylesford Botanical Bergamot Candle) and enjoy!
